Net Wrap
We offer bale net wrap made specifically for the most demanding market in the world, bar none- Australia. Whether you are tackling silage, hay or straw round bales, you can trust our range of bale net products not only to do the job, but to contain your valuable fodder in a safe, well covered bale.
Why Our Bale Net Wrap?
Designed, developed and manufactured in Europe, our net wrap products have proven themselves year in and year out. All of our selections are chosen with a specific purpose in mind, and will operate universally in all round baler machines. We can also help with which size net wrap is suitable for which machine model so please read on to assess which bale net will suit your operations the best.
Powernet Net Wrap
Powernet is a premium netting that is available in 1.23m, 1.25m and 1.3m width rolls to suit for machine and application. Powernet is a stalwart in our range as our longest serving net wrap. This product comes in the 1.23m width size and is 12g per lineal in this width. Side to side coverage for most of the balers allows a good flat bale finish running from bale edge to edge side. The over edge sides net in 1.3m, is compatible for use in John Deere machines where it’s necessary to cover edge of bales on both sides. The 1.25m wide edge net is also available in Powernet and is used more for Welger balers. Powernet is often described as a ‘great all rounder’ net wrap.
Green Machine Net Wrap
To offer you more choice, we also carry the Green Machine range which, as the name indicates it’s a green colour netwrap, and is slightly heavier in grams per metre at 12.2 grams in a 1.23m width size. Also out of Europe, this range caters for sizes for the standard 1.23m width, the 1.3m ‘over edge of bale’ width and also 1.25m width which runs wider and will generally cover edge sides of the bale. Both brands provide strength through weight and high grade polymers to handle the containment of the fodder. All with high UV stability to meet harsh Australian conditions.
Green Machine XT (Extreme) Bale Net - Netwrap
We also have a double chain reinforced netwrap in the Green Machine Netwrap Range. XT net wrap offers extreme support for challenging springy crops and is the netwrap of choice for straw. Green Machine XT is also indicated where there is high pressure in the bale, high bale weights, or where there are extremes in temperature with high day time temps followed by cold nights. The Green Machine XT offers extra piece of mind where normal net wrap products will be tested.
What you need to know about all Bale Net Wrap
We acknowledge that there are many variables when selecting the appropriate amount of wraps for your application. Our recommendation is 3 wraps for silage, 4 wraps for hay, and 5 wraps for straw, which is pretty much the standard industry recommendation these days. Other factors, beside crop type, that need to be taken into consideration are the length of the chop, temperature and conditions of the region, as well as the amount of handling and transportation post baling. If the bales need to be held for a while please take into consideration external factors such as exposure to the elements and extremes in weather, rodents / animals. In these cases allow an extra wrap to ensure your fodder is safely contained.
Also be very careful with any potential chemical or fertilizer drift or overspray that may come into contact with bales. This is the primary reason for most premature netwrap breakdown in Australia and New Zealand.
We will be very happy to talk to you regarding the most suitable choice for your region / crop type / operations at hand, and can offer valuable experience to help you get the most from your crop packaging requirements. So just reach out and contact us if you have a question.

Frequently Asked Questions about Net Wraps
How is your net wrap constructed?
Our net wraps are manufactured using high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and advanced knitting techniques to create a lightweight but ultra-strong mesh that maintains bale integrity under stress. Each roll features multi-strand cross-weaving for superior load stability and edge to edge reinforcement. UV stabilisers are added during production to protect the material from degradation that can be caused by prolonged sun exposure.
We also tightly control the tension and winding process, which means rolls unwind evenly and smoothly—no tangles, no snags and smooth operation.
How do I choose a net wrap?
- Choosing the right net wrap depends on several factors:
- Bale type: Hay, straw, or silage bales may require different grams per metre and strength properties depending on material being baled and weight and size of bales.
- Moisture content: Silage bales need better sealing.
- Baler compatibility: Check your baler’s edge to edge width requirement and any other specific wrap requirements.
- Volume: For large-scale operations, longer rolls result in fewer changeovers and increased efficiency.
What is special about your net wrap?
We focus on quality, consistency, and real-world performance. Here’s what makes our net wrap stand out:
- Uniform roll winding ensures easy application with minimal waste
- High tensile strength to resist tearing during baling and handling according to the job. We have a product for all applications.
- UV stabilisation for long-lasting outdoor storage
- Tested for Australian conditions, including field trials in dry and coastal zones, and in temperate to tropical zones
